Health department hosts free E-waste event

Victor Baldovinos, the City of South Padre Island’s Environmental Health Director who has also been recently appointed to the Code Enforcement Advisory Committee of Port Isabel, invited the community to an Earth Day E-Waste Celebration.

This “celebration” will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

“People call our office all the time, [asking] what to do with E-waste,” said Baldovinos. “Bring it over on the 22nd”

E-waste includes desktops, notebooks, laptops, hard-drives, work stations, servers, server cabinets, terminals, circuit boards, motherboards, network equipment, telephones, router switches, hubs, load balancers, external storage devices, game consoles, pda, car chargers, tablets, power surge protectors, radios, modems, stoves, media players, automotive components, cable boxes, projectors, cell phones, copiers, cassette players, battery backups, alarm systems, Bluetooth devices, dvd/cd/blueray players, power cords, power adapters, fans, displays, LCD/LED TVs and monitors, security equipment, treadmills and cameras.
