It’s contest season and once again the Port Isabel High Silver Tarpon Marching Band is on track for another spot in the state contest.
The band has participated in four contests the past two weekends and received top marks in each one.
At the Deep River Marching Contest in Rio Hondo on Saturday, October 4, the band won Best in Class 4A and also got the Best Drumline (Class 4A) and Best Color Guard (Class 4A) awards.
