The Craft Beer and Wing Festival returns for its second year to South Padre Island [SPI] on Nov. 16. The event is hosted by Bird Promotions, and will be at the SPI Convention Center from 2-9 p.m.

The festival is making a comeback due to its “incredible launch,” according to its official website. Guests can expect an expanded roster of offerings, including more than 40 craft beers to sample. The event promises
beers from the region’s “top breweries.” Attendees can also enjoy wing flavors from classic buffalo to Korean barbeque. In addition to wings, food like burgers and tacos will be available.

The audience can now vote for their personal favorites in the People’s Choice Awards and experience entertainment from “show-stopping” tribute acts. Among the planned live shows, Keith as Kenny and Many as Miranda are slated to perform. They are tribute artists for Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert respectively. Beer pong, corn hole, hot wing eating contests and a beer stein-holding challenge are also slated.

General admission is $25; this covers 12 beer tastings, five wing vouchers and full access to the event. The VIP admission is $50, and it will get the especially eager fans 16 beer tastings, ten wing vouchers, early entry at 1 p.m., and a special souvenir glass and gift bag.

To vote for their favorite wing flavor, attendees will use a voting coin received upon entry and drop it in the designated voting box at their favorite wing booth. Voting will close at 7 p.m. The winner will be announced at 7:30 p.m.

Parking is free, and guests are encouraged to carpool, rideshare or utilize public transportation to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Guests are urged to enjoy the festival responsibly and make the necessary transportation arrangements post-drinking. The event is family-friendly, but an ID proving 21 years of age must be presented for beer sampling. Tickets are nonrefundable. No pets are allowed at the festival.

Tickets can be purchased online at eventbrite.com.
