Four of a crime
At approximately 12:39 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 an officer responded to the 1600 block of Oklahoma Street in reference to a criminal trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a man who stated that his son no longer lived there but refused to leave. The complainant stated that he did not want to file charges just wanted his son to leave. The officer made contact with the son who, after a brief investigation, was arrested for public intoxication, trespassing, assault on a public servant and resisting arrest. The officer gathered information for a report and resumed patrol.
“Told you I wasn’t the robber.”
At approximately 7:07 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31 an officer was patrolling the area of South Longoria and East Jefferson streets when the officer observed a suspicious male subject. The officer made contact with the man and informed him the reason he had been stopped was because there had been several burglaries of residences in the area. The man consented to be searched and the officer located a green leafy substance inside a box located in the right front pocket. The male subject was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia. The officer took custody of the drug paraphernalia and booked it in to evidence.
Kart attack
At approximately 6:08 p.m. on Dec. 31 while at Wal-Mart a policer officer was waved down by a man who advised that the kart attendant had struck his vehicle with some shopping karts while clearing the parking lot. Contact was made with the manager and they exchanged information. The officer then gathered information for a report and resumed patrol.
Sobriety Wreck-amended
At approximately 11:58 a.m. on Dec. 31, police were dispatch to the 600 block of South Shore Drive in reference to an accident. Upon arrival, they observed a man outside his vehicle which had been driven into a gated fence causing major damage. Police made contact with the man who appeared to be intoxicated. The man then advised officers that he wanted EMS to examine him because he felt pain all over his body. EMS arrived shortly thereafter and transported the man to Valley Regional Hospital. The man’s vehicle was towed.
Phony
At approximately 4:12 p.m. on Jan. 1 police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Oklahoma Street in reference to several 911 hang ups. Upon arrival an officer made contact with a man and advised him of the situation. The man informed the officer that he had been trying to reactivate a cell phone and that he had no idea it was calling 911.
Windon’t know who did it
At approximately 8:53 a.m. on Jan. 2, as police were patrolling on the 100 Block of East Queen Isabella Blvd. they observed a vehicle with a shattered back window. An officer then advised dispatch of the findings and attempted to locate the owner. The officer then made contact with a woman who stated she was the owner. The woman advised that her window had not been shattered when she first arrived. Police then gathered information for a report and resumed patrol.
