Unofficial voting results are in for two vacancies on the City of South Padre Island City Council.
Theresa Metty has won the Place 3 seat with 56 percent of the vote. Sally Scaman, who was also running for Place 3, received 46 percent of the vote.
In the special election held to fill the Place 4 seat vacated by the departure of former Councilwoman Julee LaMure, Alita Bagley received 57 percent of the vote, edging out challenger Ron Pitcock, who received just under 43 percent of the votes.
In all, 312 people cast ballots on Election Day, while another 288 took advantage of early voting. A total of 600 voters cast ballots during the election. The total number of votes cast on Election Day and during early voting are shown below.
