On Feb. 22, Cameron County stakeholders are invited and encouraged to come to the Cameron County Courthouse (Dancy Building) to ask questions and give final input on the state-required Erosion Response Plan (ERP).

By participating in the development of the ERP, landowners, developers and beach lovers will all have a chance to influence the future protection and development of the County’s Padre Island beaches.

“This is an important plan and we hope the community will participate in its development,” said County Judge Pete Sepulveda, Jr.  “By law, all coastal counties in Texas must develop an Erosion Response Plan. We want to make sure our plan is in the best interest of all the county’s citizens and that we make the best decisions about our beaches as we move forward,” said Judge Sepulveda.
