June 23 at 4:47 a.m. saw South Padre Island Police Officers respond to a call on the 200 block of West Marlin, where they had been told a crash had taken place. On arrival, officers found two trucks over the landing of the seawall, one just over the landing and the other partially submerged. This was right beside Coconut Jacks, located at 2301 Laguna Blvd, South Padre Island.
After opening an investigation on the matter, they determined the two vehicles were stolen, though from two different locations on the Island.
Upon discovery, the vehicles were unoccupied.
