Five men who were arrested in connection with the beheading death of Jose Francisco Palacios Paz in the spring of 2015 have been indicted for the murder by a Grand Jury in the 107th District Court Wednesday.
The men, including U.S. Border Patrol agent Joel Luna, will each face charges of Capital Murder for Retaliation, Murder (a first degree felony), and two counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity (a first degree felony), according to a statement released by the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office. The other four men indicted are brothers Fernando Luna Rodriguez and Eduardo Luna Rodriguez, Aaron Rodriguez Medellin and Nestor Manuel Leal.
