Short-term rentals on Beach Blvd. in Laguna Vista were debated again Tuesday as property owners asserted their rights on both sides of the issue before the Town Council.
The matter remains unresolved, however, as no action was taken following an executive session where Councilmen met with their legal council to discuss adoption of Ordinance 2015-30, to regulate short term property rentals.
Speaking during public comments, Curt Chamberlain told the Council that short-term rentals were detrimental to adjacent full-time property owners who must suffer through loud music, litter and partying from persons vacationing at nearby rental properties.
